- 1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice
- 1/4cup apple or currant jelly
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 5 apples (1 ‘/s pounds), unpeeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup currants or raisins
- 1 cup frozen raspberries (no sugar added), thawed
For the topping:
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons fresh bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, metted
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. . Lightly grease an 8-inch-square baking dish. In a large saucepan combine appie juice, apple jelly, and cornstarch. Stir until blended.
2. Stir in apples and cook over medium-highheat until mixture comes to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, Remove from heat and allow to cool. Gently fold currants or raisins into mixture and then spoon into the baking dish. Layer the raspberries on top.
3. Preheat oven to 400°F. In a small bow! combine the topping ingredients and mix well. Sprinkle over the fruit and bake until topping is nicely browned, about 25-30 minutes.
